First Night Records to Release Singin’ in the Rain, Top Hat London Cast Recordings
First Night Records will release the London cast recordings of the West End productions of Singin’ in the Rain, currently playing at the Palace Theatre, and Top Hat – The Musical, playing at the Aldwych Theatre. Pre-orders are now being taken at the label’s website.
Based on the MGM movie of the same name, Singin’ in the Rain features such classic songs as “You Are My Lucky Star,” “All I Do,” “Good Morning,” and “Would You?,” along with the title number. The cast features Michael Brandon, Adam Cooper, Daniel Crossley, Sandra Dickinson, Katherine Kingsley, and Scarlett Strallen.
With songs by Irving Berlin, Top Hat stars Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen. The 18-track cast recording of this show will feature such tunes as “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “Top Hat, White Tie and Tails,” “Let’s Face the Music and Dance” and “Cheek to Cheek.”
