Stephen Ashfield, Ben Freeman to Join London’s Legally Blonde

Stephen Ashfield and Ben Freeman will join the West End production of Legally Blonde The Musical, at the Savoy Theatre, beginning October 10 in the roles of Emmett and Warner, respectively.

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, the show has music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and a book by Heather Hach, and is based on the popular 2001 film. The production recently won the 2011 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

The cast also features Carley Stenson (Elle Woods), Natalie Casey (Paulette), Peter Davison (Professor Callahan), and Tricia Adele Turner (Vivienne Kensington).

Ashfield’s theatre credits include Bob Gaudio in the original London cast of Jersey Boys, and Boy George in Taboo in the West End and on tour in the UK.

Freeman’s theatre credits include Norman in Dreamboats and Petticoats at the Savoy Theatre and on tour in the UK, with television roles including Scott Windsor in Emmerdale.
