Lizzie Roper to Replace Ellen Greene in London Betwixt! Musical

British comedy actress Lizzie Roper will take over the roles currently played by Ellen Greene in the West End musical Betwixt, following Greene’s last performance on August 20, which was the original end date of the limited engagement at Trafalgar Studios 2. The show has been extended, and will now run through September 10.

Ian McFarlane has written and directed the production, which is set in Manhattan, and centers on a man suffering writer’s block and his roommate who are catapulted into a strange enchanted world, fulfilling a strange, multi-layered prophecy.

The cast also includes Benedict Salter, Steven Webb, Ashleigh Gray, Peter Duncan, Will Hawksworth, Alyssa Nicol, Vicki Lee Taylor, and Rob Wilshaw. The production features choreography by Grace Harrington, musical direction by George?Dyer, and lighting design by Rob Casey.

Roper’s roles will be the identical triplets: The Enchantress, Princess and Nymph Queen. The actress has performed many solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival , as well as productions of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, co-starring with Christian Slater; The Odd Couple, with Bill Bailey and Alan Davies; and August: Osage County at the National Theatre.
