Casting Announced for U.K. Tour of Lord of the Flies

Casting has been announced for Nigel Williams’ stage version of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, which will embark on a U.K. tour with a performance at Mull Theater on September 27. Bart Williams will direct the production, which will be designed by Richard Evans and have lighting by Ralph Stockeld.

Additional tour venues include Rothersay Pavilion, St. Andrews Byre, Greenock Arts Guild, Stirling MacRoberts, Aberdeen Lemon Tree, Musselburgh Brunton Theatre, Paisley Arts Center, Livingston Howden Park Center, Dumfries Theatre Royal, Norwich Playhouse, and Swansee Grand Theatre.

The story centers on a group of boys, who stranded on a desert island, find themselves succumbing to their darker instincts and primal urges.

The company will feature Jonathan Ashby-Rock (Maurice), Scott Chambers (Percival), David Eaton (Sam), Adam Glass (Eric), Matthew Grace (Simon), David Hutchinson (Roger), Robert Sladden (Ralph), David Shopland (Piggy), and Matthew J. Statton (Jack).
