La Cage Aux Folles and Piaf to Transfer to West End

The Menier Chocolate Factory’s revival of the Jerry Herman-Harvey Fierstein musical La Cage Aux Folles and the Donmar Warehouse’s revival of Pam Gems’ bioplay Piaf will both transfer to the West End in October.

La Cage, directed by Terry Johnson, will run at the Playhouse Theater, October 20-January 10. Douglas Hodge will once again play Albin, while Denis Lawson will take over the role of Georges. The show will feature choreography by Lynne Page, design by Tim Shortal, costumes by Matthew Wright, orchestrations by Json Carr, and musical direction by Nigel Lilly.

Piaf, which stars Elena Roger as the late French singer Edith Piaf, will play the Vaudeville Theatre, October 16-January 24, The production, directed by Jamie Lloyd, also stars Shane Attwool, Phillip Browne, Lorraine Bruce, Luke Evans, Michael Hadley, Katherine Kingsley, Leon Lopez, and Steve John Shepherd.
