A West End production of the musical [title of show], featuring the musical’s original New York cast, is on track for a 2013 berth, according to published reports.

The Very Clever Company Limited will produce the work, which would be once again directed and choreographed by Michael Berresse. All four original cast members, Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, and Jeff Bowen, have expressed their intention to reprise their roles.

In a statement, Bell, who received a Tony Award-nomination for his book of the musical, said “If the stars align and schedules work out, we have our fingers crossed for the original Broadway company to take the West End by storm.” Producer Oliver Southgate added, “Whilst our persistence to use this cast and director has made it difficult to open as soon as we might have liked, it’s that integrity that means we now have the thrilling opportunity to reunite these incredible creative minds, and ensure that [title of show] in London is the most authentic, resonant, and high-quality production it can be.”

[title of show] features a score by Bowen and musical direction by Larry Pressgrove. The autobiographical musical concerns two songwriters and their female friends who try to write a musical to submit to the New York Musical Theatre Festival. The show played at NYMF, Off-Broadway’s Vineyard Theatre, and then on Broadway.

Dates and a theater for the production will be announced in the future.
