Full Casting Announced for Max Stafford-Clark London Revival of Our Country’s Good
Full casting has been announced for Max Stafford-Clark’s revival of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s Our Country’s Good, according to WhatsOnStage.com.
The production will tour the UK starting September 3, and then play London’s St. James Theatre, January 30-March 9. It will feature set and costume designs by Tim Shortall, lighting by Johanna Town, and sound by Andy Smith.
Set in Australia in 1879, Our Country’s Good examines a group of Royal Marines and convicts who are putting on a production of George Farquhar’s The Recruiting Officer. Stafford-Clark directed the original production of the play at the Royal Court in 1988.
The cast will feature Dominic Thorburn, Laura Dos Santos, Ian Redford, Keith Appleyard, Helen Bradbury, William Faddy, Lisa Kerr, Damola Adelaja, John Hollingworth, Matthew Needham, Kathryn O’Reilly, and Ciarán Owens.
