Lend Me a Tenor The Musical will play its final performance at the West End’s Gielgud Theatre on August 6. Directed by Ian Talbor and featuring choreography by Randy Skinner, the production officially opened on June 15.

Based on Ken Ludwig’s play of the same name, the show, with book and lyrics by Peter Sham and music by Brad Carroll, centers on the convoluted preparations a small opera company undergoes to present a production of Otello, featuring a temperamental star in the title role.

The company stars Matthew Kelly as Henry Saunders, Joanna Riding as Maria Merelli, Damian Humbley as Max, Michael Matus as Tito Merelli, Sophie-Louise Dann as Diana Divane, and Cassidy Janson as Maggie Saunders, as well as Gay Soper, Jane Quinn and Michelle Bishop as the Ladies of the Opera Guild.

The production has been designed by Paul Farnsworth, with lighting by Tim Mitchell, and sound by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster.
