Steven Berkoff’s Biblical Tales to Play New End Theatre in August

Writer/director Steven Berkoff will premiere his Biblical Tales at the New End Theatre for a four week run beginning August 3, according to Whatsonstage.com.

This series of one-acts performed on a single evening includes 21st-century twists on the stories of Adam and Eve, Samson and Delilah, David and Goliath, and Moses and Pharoah.

On Broadway, Berkoff directed his adaptation of Kafka’s Metamorphosis, which starred Mikhail Baryshnikov. Off-Broadway, Berkoff directed a production of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus, starring Christopher Walken and Irene Worth. Berkoff’s many UK stage credits include the stage production of the classic movie On the Waterfront, which he both conceived and directed; Shakespeare’s Villains, Salome, Requiem for Ground Zero and Sit and Shiver. On film, he’s been seen in such movies as Beverly Hills Cop, Rambo: First Blood Part II, The Flying Scotsman, 9 Dead Gay Guys, and Fair Game.
