Tony Award winner Douglas Hodge will star in the BBC1 upcoming four-part drama, One Night, according to The Stage.

According to the report, the series, to be written by Paul Smith, “tells the story of four ordinary people whose fates are linked by a seemingly inconsequential event”. In each episode, the events of the night are re-told from a different character’s point of view.

Hodge won Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for his performance as Albin in the recent revival of La Cage Aux Folles. He is scheduled to appear at the Donmar Warehouse this fall in Jamie Lloyd’s production of John Osborne’s Inadmissible Evidence.
