Chichester Festival Theatre Announces Complete Casting for The Deep Blue Sea, Rattigan’s Nijinsky

Chichester Festival Theatre has announced complete casting for Terence Rattigan’s The Deep Blue Sea and Nicholas Wright’s Rattigan’s Nijinsky, which will run in repertory July 13 – September 3. Philip Franks will direct both productions.

Anthony Calf and Amanda Root will head the cast for The Deep Blue Sea, which focuses on a woman who has left the security of her marriage after falling obsessively in love with attractive but callow younger man incapable of returning the love she feels for him.

Rattigan’s Nijinsky is based on a 1974 television script Rattigan wrote for the BBC. The show centers on Ballet Russes impresario Diaghilev and renowned dancer Nijinsky and will feature Jonathan Hyde (Diaghilev) and Malcolm Sinclair (Rattigan).

The two productions will share a company that will also include Faye Castelow, Pip Donaghy, Emma Harris, John Hopkins Louis Maskell, Ellie Robertson, Susan Tracy and Ewan Wardrop.
