Actress Miriam Karlin Has Died

British actress and political activist Miriam Karlin has died at aged 85, following a battle with cancer, according to Whatsonstage.com.


Karlin’s many stage credits include The Time of Your Life, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be. She also played Golde in the original West End production of Fiddler on the Roof .


Her film credits include A Clockwork Orange, Room at the Top, The Entertainer, and Children of Men, and she was well known for playing militant shop steward Paddy in the 1960s TV sitcom The Rag Trade.
