Staged by Tall Stories will present a theatrical adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s Room on the Broom at the Garrick Theatre, to run July 28 – August 29, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. Olivia Jacobs has directed the production.

The book is about a witch who loses her belongings after a gust of wind hits her while she’s flying on her broomstick and the adventures that she and her cat have while she attempts to retrieve them.

The production is presented by the company which also produced a stage adaptation of Donaldson’s The Gruffalo, which has played throughout the U.K. and was seen in 2004 at New York’s New Victory Theatre.

The creative team includes Morgan Large (production design), James Whiteside (lighting design), and Yvonne Stone (puppet design), as well as Jon Fiber, Andy Shaw and Robin Price (original songs).
