Ruthie Henshall to Launch U.K. Tour of Sounds of Hollywood in October

Ruthie Henshall will launch a U.K. tour of her concert Sounds Of Hollywood on October 26 at The Sage in Gateshead. Subsequent stops for the tour will include Royal Albert Hall in London (October 31), Symphony Hall in Birmingham (November 2), The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester (November 14), Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool (November 24), and St. David’s Hall in Cardiff (November 28).

In the concert, Henshall, accompanied by an orchestra, will perform classic songs from Broadway and movie musicals such as “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” “People,” “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better,” and “The Man That Got Away.”

Henshall is currently starring as Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago. She has previously appeared in the musical playing Velma Kelly. Among her many other theater credits are Putting It Together and Miss Saigon on Broadway and Marguerite, Cats, Les Miserables, and Oliver! in the U.K.
