Robert Lindsay, Anna Francolini, Lydia Leonard, et al. Set for West End Produciton of Martin Sherman’s Onassis

Tony Award winner Robert Lindsay will reprise his performance as Aristotle Onassis in Martin Sherman’s bio-play Onassis in the West End, beginning performances on September 30 at the Novello Theatre in anticipation of an official opening on October 12.

Nancy Meckler will direct the production, which will be designed by Katrina Lindsay, with lighting by Ben Ormerod, music by Ilona Sekacz, sound by John Leonard, video and projection design by Lorna Heavey, and choreography by Lizzi Gee.

The cast will include Anna Francolini as Maria Callas, Lydia Leonard as Jacqueline Kennedy, as well as Tom Austen, Liz Crowther, Ben Grove, Robert Hastie, John Hodgkinson, Sue Kelvin, Graeme Taylor, and Gawn Grainger. Bent.

Lindsay’s credits include his Olivier and Tony Award-winning performance in Me and My Girl, as well as Oliver!, Richard III, Becket, Hamlet, Power, and most recently The Entertainer at the Old Vic.
