Edward Baker Duly, Laura Pitt-Pulford, et al. Set for Barry Manilow’s Copacabana

Edward Baker Duly will play Stephen/Tony and Laura Pitt-Pulford will play Samantha/Lola in Copacabana, to run July 14 – September 4 at the Watermill Theatre in Newbury. Craig Revel Horwood will direct the production.

The musical, by Barry Manilow, Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman, focuses on a young songwriter who has got a great tune but no lyrics, so he invents the character of Lola Lamar, a woman on a quest for fame, and writes of her adventures in the swinging 1940s nightclub scene. The company will also feature Basienka Blake, Adam C Booth, Robin Colyer, Julian Littman, Karen Mann, Neil MacDonald, Cassie Pearson, Sally Peerless, Antony Reed, and Joe West.

Duly’s stage credits include Gone With the Wind and South Pacific. Pitt-Pulford starred in Horwood’s revival of Sunset Boulevard.

The creative team will include Sarah Travis (musical supervision/arrangements) and Diego Pitarch (production design).
