Denise Black, Rachel Lumberg, Elaine C Smith, et al. Join Calendar Girls Tour

A third cast has been announced for the U.K. tour of Calendar Girls. The new company will begin performances with the production’s engagement at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, running July 27 – August 7.

Joining the tour will be Elaine C Smith (Chris – Miss October). Denise Black (Cora – Miss July). Jean Boht (Jessie – Miss January), Jennifer Ellison (Celia – Miss September), Julia Hills (Annie – Miss February), Rachel Lumberg (Ruth – Miss November). Ruth Madoc (Marie), Joe McGann (John), and Bruno Langley (Lawrence). Additionally, for the Wales engagement, Margaret John will play Lady Cravenshire.

Subsequent tour stops include Venue Cymru Llandudno (August 9-14 August), the Theatre Royal Glasgow (August 16-28), His Majesty’s Theatre Aberdeen (August 30-September 4), the Eden Court Theatre Inverness (September 6-11), the King’s Theatre Edinburgh (September 13-25) and the Liverpool Empire (September 27-October 2).

Directed by Roger Haines, the production features scenic design by Robert Jones, lighting design by Tim Lutkin, costume design by Jack Galloway, and original music by Steve Parry.
