Catherine Zeta-Jones Named CBE by Queen Elizabeth II

Oscar winning-actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who is a 2010 Tony Award nominee for her work as Desiree Armfeldt in the current Broadway revival of A Little Night Music has been named a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) as part of the Queen’s 2010 Birthday’s Honours list.

Other artists being recognized include playwright Ronald Harwood, composer John Cale, actors John Nettles, Michelle Vicki Fowler, Eileen Derbyshire, and Barbara Knox, and television presenter Fred Dineage.

Zeta-Jones won the Oscar for her portrayal of Velma Kelly in the film version of Chicago. Her other films include The Mask of Zorro and No Reservations.
