Viva Forever!, the new London musical with a score culled from the hits of the Spice Girls, will end its West End run at the Piccadilly Theatre on June 29 after six months, WhatsonStage.com reports. The production began previews on November 27 and opened on December 11. Mamma Mia!’s Judy Craymer produces the work, with Paul Garrington as director and Lynne Page as choreographer.

With a book by Jennifer Saunders (best known for her starring role as Edina Monsoon in the cult-classic Britcom Absolutely Fabulous), Viva Forever! tells the story of a young woman named Viva who becomes an overnight celebrity when she makes it to the final round of a televised music competition. It focuses on the effect this has on her mother and her bandmates, who have been left behind. Featured in the score are Spice Girls hits like “Wannabe,” “Spice Up Your Life,” and “I Turn to You,” among many others.

Hannah John-Kamen leads the company as Viva, along with Sally-Anne Triplett as her adoptive mother, Lauren, Siobhan Athwal, Lucy Phelps, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Lucy Montgomery, Simon Slater, Sally Dexter, Bill Ward, Tamara Wall, Ben Cura, Hatty Preston, Simon Adkins, Anthoy Topham, Tom Kanavan, Zak Nemorin, Curtis Angus, Luke Jackson, Oliver Roll, David Rudin, Darrell Carnall, Myles Brown, Charlotte Gorton, Rebecca McKinnis, Lucy Thatcher, Roxanne Palmer, Charlotte Walcott, Sophie Carmen-Jones, Carla Nella, Kirstie Skivington, and Helen Ternent.
