Live Theatre and Soho Theatre’s production of A Walk On Part: The Fall of New Labour will transfer to the West End’s Arts Theatre beginning June 19, for a run through July 14. A gala press opening is set for June 26.

Based on the diaries of former Sunderland Souh MP Chris Mullin, A Walk On Part is adapted for the stage by Michael Chaplin, with direction by Max Roberts, and design by Gary McCann. The political comedy stars John Hodgkinson as Chris Mullin, with Tracy Gillman, Hywel Morgan, and Joe Caffrey essaying over 100 different characters from Tony Blair to Gordon Brown.

In February 2012, A Walk On Part became the first theater production to be invited by the Speaker of the House to perform in The State Rooms at the House of Commons for an audience made up of MPs, Peers, and Lords.
