Martin Freeman, Graham Norton, et al. Win BAFTA Awards

Stage veterans Martin Freeman and Graham Norton were among the winners at the 2011 BAFTA TV Awards, which were presented in a ceremony on Sunday, May 22 at London’s Grosvenor House. Norton hosted the event.

Freeman, who won the Supporting Actor category for his work in Sherlock, most recently appeared on stage in the Royal Court production of Bruce Norris’ Clybourne Park. Norton, who won for Entertainment Performance for The Graham Norton Show, performed the role of Albin in the recent West End revival of La Cage Aux Folles.

Acting winners also included Daniel Rigby (Leading Actor, Eric and Ernie), Vicky McClure (Leading Actress, This Is England), Lauren Socha (Supporting Actress, Misfits), Jo Brand (Female Performance in a Comedy Programme, Getting On), and Steve Coogan (Male Performance in a Comedy Programme, The Trip).
