Menier Chocolate Factory has announced casting for Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Road Show, to run June 24 – September 18. John Doyle, who directed the musical in its New York premiere, will stage the production, which will have music direction and supervision by Catherine Jayes.

The piece centers on the true story of two fortune-seeking brothers — architect Addison Mizner and his fast-talking brother Wilson — and their quest for the American dream, which takes them from panning for gold in Alaska to building the city of Boca Raton, Florida.

The company will feature David Bedella (Wilson Mizner), Michael Jibson (Addison Mizner), Gillian Bevan (Mama Mizner), and Jon Robyns (Hollis Bessemer), along with Adrian der Gregorian, Fiona Dunn, Sarah Ingram, Julie Jupp, Glyn Kerslake, Elizabeth Marsh, Christopher Ragland and Robbie Scotcher.

Along with Doyle, who will provide scenic design, the creative team will also include Matthew Wright (costume design), Jane Cox (lighting design), and Gareth Owen (sound design).
