Clarke Peters and Dominic West, who co-starred on HBO’s The Wire, will be reunited in Sheffield Theatres’ production of Shakespeare’s Othello, according to WhatsOnStage.com.

Tony Award nominee and Sheffield Theatres’ artistic director, Daniel Evans, will direct the production, which will play the Crucible Theatre, September 15-October 15, with an opening on September 20. The production will be designed by Morgan Large with lighting design by Lucy Carter and sound design by Alex Baranowski.

The tragedy charts the fall of a charismatic Moorish general through the betrayal of one of his most trusted soldiers.

Peters, who will play Othello, starred in both the original production of Five Guys Named Moe and its recent revival, in addition to penning the book for the show. His other theater credits include Trevor Nunn’s 2006 West End production of Porgy and Bess, as well as Chicago and The Iceman Cometh on Broadway.

West, who will play Iago, appeared on Broadway in Design for Living, and is currently appearing in Butley in Brighton, with that production transferring to the Duchesss Theatre at the end of the month.
