Lesley Manville, Juliet Stevenson to Star in Mark Ravenhill’s Ghost Story

Juliet Stevenson and Lesley Manville will star in Mark Ravenhill’s Ghost Story, to be performed June 10-13 at Riverside Studios as part of the Sky Arts: Playhouse season, which films its productions for subsequent broadcast. Ravenhill will direct the production, which will air on June 16.

In Ghost Story, a breast cancer sufferer Lisa comes to healer Meryl for help in dealing with her disease.

Stevenson won an Olivier Award for her work in Death and the Maiden. Among her many other theater credits are Burn This, The Seagull, Alice Trilogy, The Country, We Happy Few and Private Lives. She won the Evening Standard Film Award for Best Actress for Truly, Madly, Deeply.

Manville has recently been seen on stage in productions such as Six Degrees of Separation, Her Naked Skin, All About My Mother, His Dark Materials, and The Alchemist.

The other productions in the Sky Arts season will be Rebecca Lenkiewicz’s The Typist, Alia Bano’s Hens, Frank McGuinness’ Crocodile, and Eve Ensler’s Here.
