Joan Collins will play the role of Queen Rat in the pantomime Dick Whittington, to be presented at the Birmingham Hippodrome, December 18-January 30.

This Christmas-time favorite tells the tale of a poor boy and his rat-catching cat. The cast will also include Julian Clary as The Spirit of the Bells, Nigel Havers as King Rat, and Keith Harris as The Rat Catcher.

Collins, who will be making her pantomime debut, starred as Amanda in the 1992 Broadway revival of Private Lives, and more recently, she toured in the play Legends with her former Dynasty co-star Linda Evans. She has also toured her own one-woman show, An Evening with Joan Collins.
