Anthony Neilson’s Get Santa! to Play Royal Court Theatre

Anthony Neilson’s new play Get Santa! will play the Royal Court’s Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, running December 1 – January 15. Neilson will also direct the play, which has been written for children seven years old and up and their families.

Set on Christmas Eve, Get Santa! focuses on Holly, who’s only ever wanted one thing from Santa: to meet her real Dad. But, to date, he’s only brought lots of useless presents and now, Holly’s going to wait up and trap Santa when he arrives and get from him the only present she’s ever wanted. The play also features a very dim Elf called Bumblehole, a machine that changes Families and a Teddy Bear with an evil masterplan. Casting will be announced at a later date.

The production will be designed by Miriam Buether, and feature lighting by Chahine Yavroyan.
