British musical theater and television star Sally Ann Triplett will take over the role of Donna Sheridan in the London production of Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales Theatre on Monday, June 15.

The musical, which uses the songs of ABBA, follows the story of a forty-something mother planning her daughter’s wedding — unaware that the girl has invited three men who might be her father. It is written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd.

On that date, the cast will include Katy Secombe (Rosie), Jane Gurnett (Tanya), Norman Bowman (Sam), Paul Ryan (Harry), Christopher Hollis (Bill), Niamh Perry (Sophie), Oliver Hembrough (Sky), Jodie Read (Ali), Laura Selwood (Lisa), Ben Heathcote (Pepper), and Sam McKay (Eddie). At certain performances, the role of Donna will be played by Melissa Jacques.

Triplett’s many stage credits include Cats, Guys & Dolls, Take Flight, Chess, Follies, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
