London Cast Recording of The Wizard of Oz, Starring Danielle Hope, Michael Crawford, Set for May 2 Release

The new cast recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of The Wizard Of Oz, playing at the London Palladium in the West End, will be released through Really Useful Group / Polydor Records on May 2.

This 24 track set will include the songs from Harold Alren and E.Y. Harburg’s Oscar-winning movie score, including “Over the Rainbow,” “Munchkinland / Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead,” “If I Only Had A Brain,” and “The Merry Old Land Of Oz,” as well as the new songs by Webber and Tim Rice, which were written for the production.

Directed by Jeremy Sams, the production stars Danielle Hope, the winner of the BBC One reality show Over The Rainbow as Dorothy, along with Michael Crawford (The Wizard), Edward Baker-Duly (Tin Man), David Ganly (Cowardly Lion), Paul Keating (Scarecrow), Emily Tierney (Glinda) and Hannah Waddingham (Wicked Witch Of the West).
