Full casting has been announced for the Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Cyrano de Bergerac, to run May 8-30. Trevor Nunn will direct.

The production uses Anthony Burgess’ 1985 adaptation of the play, which tells the story of soldier, poet, philosopher and duelist Cyrano who cannot express his love for Roxane due to his feelings about his over-large nose.

As previously announced, Joseph Fiennes will play the title role. He will be joined by Alice Eve (Roxane), Shane Attwooll (Le Bret), Jonathan Forbes (Valvert), Paul Grunert (Ragueneau), Stephen Hagan (Christian), and Scott Handy (De Guiche), along with Tom Andrews, Louise Bangay, Tilly Blackwood, Joseph Chance, Jim Creighton, Julian Forsyth, Jo Herbert, Peter Hinton, Jack James, Tommy Luther, Gary Oliver, Siôn Tudor Owen, Laurence Spellman, Richard Trinder, and David Weston.

This production will be designed by Robert Jones, with lighting by Tim Mitchell, costumes by Lynette Mauro, sound by John Leonard, music by Steven Edis, and fight direction by Malcolm Ranson.
