Edward Scissorhands to Launch International Tour

A new production of Matthew Bourne’s dance-theater piece Edward Scissorhands will begin an international tour later this year making stops in London, as well as Birmingham, Salford, Wimbledon, Australia, Paris, Athens, and Antwerp.

Based on the original 20th Century Fox motion picture of the same name, the show features music by Terry Davies, based on Danny Elfman’s film score. The production is designed by Lez Brotherston, with lighting by Howard Harrison and sound by Paul Groothuis.

Matthew Malthouse and Dominic North will alternate in the title role; the 30-person company will also feature Kerry Biggin, Etta Murfitt, Adam Galbraith, Steve Kirkham and Nina Goldman as well as Ross Carpenter, Dena Lague, Rachel Lancaster, Mami Tomotani, and Shelby Williams.
