The King’s Head Theatre has announced plans for its upcoming season, which will feature several premieres celebrating playwright Sir Arnold Wesker’s 80th birthday.

Opening the season will be the London premiere of Wesker’s false memory play Denial (May 15-June 19). Next, The King’s Head will present the first London revival of Caritas (May 20-June 10), an opera by Arnold Wesker and Robert Saxton.

The final offering of the season will be the world premiere of The Wesker Trilogy: Revisited (April 2013), a stage adaptation of an unproduced film script based on Wesker’s trilogy of plays Chicken Soup With Barley, Roots, and I’m Talking About Jerusalem. The Wesker Trilogy: Revisited is adapted for the stage by Rachel Grunwald and King’s Head Theatre Artistic Director Adam Spreadbury- Maher.
