Kingsley Ben Adir, Tamsin Carrol Set for Open Air Theatre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Casting has been announced for William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to run June 2 – September 5 at the Open Air Theatre in Regent’s Park. Matthew Dunster will direct the production, which will run in repertory with Ragtime.

Shakespeare’s romantic comedy centers on the travails of a quartet of mortal lovers who fall under a fairy spell.

The company will feature Rolan Bell (Snug), Kingsley Ben Adir (Demetrius), George Bukhari (Bottom), David Birrell (Theseus), Louise Bowden (Philostrate), Katie Brayben (Hippolyta), Tamsin Carroll (Titania), Anthony Clegg (Egeus), Hayley Gallivan (Hermia), Christopher Colquhoun (Oberon), Harry Hepple (Quince), Oliver Johnstone (Puck), Rebecca Oldfield (Helena), Tom Padley (Lysander), and Jo Servi (Mechanical), along with Jamal Andreas, Stephane Anelli, Shimi Goodman, Waylon Jacobs, Kurt Kansley, Joshua Lacey, Mireia Mambo Bekele, Sandra Marvin, Sophia Nomvete, Caroline Rovina, and Carl Sanderson.

The creative team will include scenic designer Jon Bausor, costume designer Laura Hopkins, and lighting designer James Farncombe, along with Olly Fox, who will provide original music, and Ian Dickinson, who will create sound design, for Autograph.
