Shakespeare’s Globe’s Richard III and Twelfth Night, Starring Mark Rylance, to Make West End Transfer

The Shakespeare’s Globe productions of Richard III and Twelfth Night, will transfer to the West End’s Apollo Theatre, running November 2, 2012 – February 3, 2013. Tony Award winner Mark Rylance headlines both productions, playing the title role in the former, and Olivia in the latter. Tim Carroll will direct the stagings, which feature all-male casts.

Richard III and Twelfth Nightwill also feature Samuel Barnett (Elizabeth/Sebastian), Liam Brennan (Clarence/Orsino), Johnny Flynn (Lady Anne/Viola), Colin Hurley (King Edward/Sir Toby Belch) and Peter Hamilton Dyer (Ensemble/Feste), with Stephen Fry also featured in the Twelfth Night cast as Malvolio.

Designs are by Jenny Tiramani and music is by Claire van Kampen.

The two productions will run in repertoire at Shakespeare’s Globe from July 14-October 14 prior to their West End transfer.
