Gate Theatre Announces Upcoming Season with Artistic Director Christopher Haydon

Gate Theatre has announced the productions set for its upcoming season, the theater's first season with new artistic director Christopher Haydon, according to The Stage.

The first production of the season, which will focus on themes of revolution and rebellion, will be Tenet: A True Story About the Revolutionary Politics of Telling the Truth About Truth as Edited by Someone Who is Not Julian Assange in Any Literal Sense (May 1-26), a collaboration with Greyscale Theatre about 19th-century mathematician Evariste Galois and Julian Assange.

The season will also include a production of Hassan Abdulrazzak's The Prophet (beginning June 14), directed by Haydon, about 2011's Egyptian uprising and Sunset Baby (September) by Dominique Morisseau.
