Christopher Plummer, Octavia Spencer, Meryl Streep Win BAFTA Awards

The 2012 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) were presented in a ceremony on February 12 at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, hosted by Stephen Fry.

Best Film was awarded to The Artist, which also took home prizes for director Michael Haznavicius and Leading Actor Jean Dujardin, among others.

Additional acting awards were given to Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady), Christopher Plummer ( Beginners), and Octavia Spencer (The Help), while the BAFTA Rising Star Award was given to Adam Deacon.
