Trevor Nunn to Direct Menier Chocolate Factory’s Aspects of Love; John Cullum, Judy Kaye et al. to Join Mandy Patinkin in Paradise Found

Multiple Tony Award-winner Trevor Nunn will direct a revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory.

The musical, which features book and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart, will run July 3-September 11. Casting will be announced at a later date. Nunn also helmed the original production of Aspects of Love, for which he received a Tony nomination. He has won Tony Awards for his direction of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Cats, and Les Miserables, and is currently represented on Broadway by the revival of A Little Night Music.

In related news, Kate Baldwin, John Cullum, Shuler Hensley, and Judy Kaye will join the previously announced Mandy Patinkin in the Chocolate Factory’s new musical Paradise Found, co-directed by Hal Prince and Susan Stroman. The tuner will run May 19-June 26, with an opening on May 26.

Based on the novel The Tale of the 1002nd Night by Viennese author Joseph Roth, the show features music by Johann Strauss II, adapted and arranged by Jonathan Tunick. Paradise Found has book by Richard Nelson and lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh. Set design is by Beowulf Boritt, with costumes designed by Judy Dolan, lighting by Howell Binkley and sound by Gareth Owen. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
