Alistair Robins will play Schub in Primavera Productions’ revival of Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents’ Anyone Can Whistle, to run March 10-April 17 at the Jermyn Street Theatre. Tom Littler will direct the production which will feature musical direction by Tom Attwood and choreography by Alice Jackson.

The 1964 musical satirized any and every target on the American cultural scene of the moment, including conformity, psychology, race relations, greed, religion and politics. Robins will join the previously announced, Issy van Randwyck (Cora), Rosalie Craig (Fay Apple), and David Ricardo-Pearce (Hapgood). The company will also feature Leo Andrew (Cooley) and Karl Moffatt (Magruder), along with Richard Colvin, Sophie Jugé, Lloyd Gorman, Deborah Hewitt, Elizabeth Reid, Rhiannon Sommers, and Nick Trumble. Jessica Adair and Martha Tipper will alternate the role of Baby Joan.

The creative team will include Morgan Large (scenic design), Christopher Nairne (lighting design), and Emily Stuart (costume design).

Robins recently played Carl-Magnus in Trevor Nunn’s revival of A Little Night Music and Raoul in the showcase for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical Love Never Dies at Sydmonton.
