Figure Skater Robin Cousins to Play Teen Angel in West End Grease

Former figure skating gold medalist Robin Cousins will play Teen Angel in the West End production of Grease, at the Piccadilly Theatre, March 29 – June 19. He takes over from U.K. radio personality Toby Anstis.

Since he retired from skating in 2000, Cousins has appeared in productions of Cats, The Rocky Horror Show, and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. In addition, he choreographed ‘ice interpretations’ of The Wizard of Oz, Starlight Express, and Disney’s Toy Story.

Cousins joins a cast led Siobhan Dillon (Sandy) and Noel Sullivan (Danny). Written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, the musical has been directed by David Gilmore and choreographed by Arlene Phillips.
