Being Shakespeare, written by Jonathan Bate, is about William Shakespeare and the enduring characters that he created. Callow has previously performed the piece in London, Edinburgh and on a U.K. tour.

Callow's previous solo shows include The Mystery of Charles Dickens and Dr Marigold & Mr Chops. His other recent stage roles include Twelfth Night at the National Theatre, and Waiting for Godot. His many films include A Room with a View, Maurice, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Shakespeare in Love.
