Rupert Goold will create a new stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, to be produced by Threesixty, and directed by Goold and Michael Fentiman in a theater tent in Kensington Gardens May 8-September 9, 2012.

The live production will use threesixty's ground-breaking surround video -- used in the company's version of Peter Pan that has toured internationally -- and puppetry to bring to life the magic of Narnia in one of the world's best-loved stories.

In the story, four siblings -- Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy -- discover the magical world of Narnia when they pass through a mysterious wardrobe door. Ruled by the White Witch who has cast a spell making it forever winter, the children together with new found friends battle to bring happiness to the land in this classic tale of good versus evil.

Among Goold's other directing credits are his Olivier Award-winning production of Macbeth, which also played Broadway, as well as Enron, Paradise Lost, and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot.
