London Production of Legally Blonde to Close April 7

The West End production of Legally Blonde the Musical will play its final performance at the Savoy Theatre in London on Saturday, April 7.

The musical, based on the popular 2001 film, is now in its third year. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, the show has music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and a book by Heather Hach. The production won the 2011 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

The principal cast — all of whom will continue through the end of the run — currently includes Carley Stenson as Elle, Stephen Ashfield as Emmett, Ben Freeman as Warner and Peter Davison as Professor Callahan.

The cast also features Jon Tsouras (Padamadan, Nikos), Georgie Ashford (Gabby, Stenographer), Lucy Miller (Serena), Nathan Pinnell (Carlos), Natalie Casey (Paulette Buonufonté), Tricia Adele Turner (Vivienne Kensington), Chris Ellis-Stanton (Grandmaster Chad, Dewey, Kyle), Danielle Steers (Judge, Saleswoman), Abiona Omonua (Pilar), Ellie Kirk (Margot), Gemma Sutton (Enid), Sorelle Marsh (Courtney, Mom, Whitney), Nick Hayes (Pforzheimer), Chloë Brooks (Kate, Chutney), Lincoln Stone (Dad, Winthrop, Reporter), Robbie Towns (Aaron), Gregory Sims (Kiki), Tamara Wall (Brooke Wyndham), Ross Hunter (Lowell) and Tara Young (Cece/District Attorney) as well as Fabian Aloise, Henry Davis, Jane McMurtie, Ruthie Stephenson and Carolyn Maitland as swings.
