John Hurt to Receive Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award at BAFTA Ceremony

Hurt is best known for his film work, including starring in the film version of The Elephant Man. He has had a long stage career in England appearing in such plays as The Importance of Being Earnest, The Caretaker, and The Seagull. Earlier this season, he starred on the New York stage in a production of Krapp's Last Tape at BAM.
