Joely Richardson, Malcolm Storry to Star in The Lady From the Sea in London

Full casting has been announced for Henrik Ibsen’s The Lady From the Sea, to run February 23 – March 17 at the Rose Theatre, Kingston, and star, as previously announced, Joely Richardson. Stephen Unwin will direct the production.

The play centers on Ellida Wangel (Richardson), a woman who, in a claustrophobic marriage to a man with two daughters, finds herself surprised by the arrival of another man whom she once promised to marry.

The company will also feature Malcolm Storry as Dr Wangel, Madeleine Worrall as Bolette, Alexandra Moen as Hilde, Richard Dillane as Arnholm, Sam Crane as Hans Lyngstrand, Robert Goodale as Ballested, and Gudmundur Thorvaldsson as The Stranger.

The production will have scenic design by Simon Higlett, costume design by Mark Boumann, and lighting design by Malcolm Rippeth.
