Olivier Award winner Samantha Spiro will headline a revival of Arnold Wesker’s Chicken Soup with Barley, to run June 3 – July 7 in the Royal Court Theatre’s Jerwood Theatre Downstairs. Dominic Cooke will direct the production.

The play, the first in a trilogy that also includes Roots and I’m Talking about Jerusalem, focuses on Sarah Khan (Spiro), an East End Jewish mother over the course of three decades as she handles both world events and the changes taking place within her home. Additional casting will be announced in the near future.
