Les Dennis to Star in Jermyn Strreet Theatre’s Drowning on Dry Land

Les Dennis will star in Alan Ayckbourn’s Drowning on Dry Land, to run February 22 -March 19 at the Jermyn Street Theatre, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. Guy Retallack will direct the production.

The play explores fame and celebrity through the rise and fall of an injured sportsman and useless quiz contestant who becomes famous just for being a failure.

Dennis’ stage credits include Chicago and Me and My Girl in London and the U.K. tours of Hairspray, Art and High School Musical 2. In addition, he was the host of ITV’s game show Family Fortunes for 12 years from 1987 to 2002.
