Helena Bonham Carter, David Harewood, et al. Named to Queen’s Honours List

Two-time Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter has been named a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) by Queen Elizabeth II as part of her year-end Honours List.


Other entertainers named to the list include actor David Harewood, who starred in the London production of Katori Hall’s The Mountaintop, and famed comedian Ronnie Corbett.


Carter played Mrs. Lovett in the film version of Sweeney Todd, one of her many collaborations with her husband, director Tim Burton. She received Oscar nominations for Wings of a Dove and The King’s Speech, and is well known for her work in the Harry Potter film series. Her many other film credits include A Room With a View, Lady Jane, Howard’s End, Frankenstein ,Hamlet, and Twelfth Night.
