Stage and screen stars Nicholas Rowe and Alan Cox will take part in the 2010 London Improvathon, a multi-day marathon of entirely improvised performance, to be held for 50 consecutive hours from 7pm on January 22 through to 9pm on January 24 at Hoxton Hall.

Rowe and Cox will be performing for 9 hours from 9am on January 24 through to the event’s close. During their appearance, they will reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Watson from the 1985 film Young Sherlock Holmes. Rowe and Cox will join a core company of 25 actors and musicians.

Since playing the title role in Young Sherlock Holmes, Rowe has forged a successful career on stage and screen, with credits including Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Cox has found similar success, and worked alongside Rowe in last year’s BBC drama Margeret. In the U.S. he appeared opposite Stacy Keach in the national tour of Frost/Nixon.
