James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff Expecting First Child

Stage and screen stars James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff are expecting their first child, according to published reports.

McAvoy’s stage credits include last year’s revival of Three Days of Rain in London, in addition to Breathing Corpses and Privates on Parades. He is currently on the big screen in The Last Station, and has also starred in such films as The Last King of Scotland, Atonement, Becoming Jane and Starter for Ten.

Duff starred in Saint Joan at the National Theatre. Among her other stage credits are The Daughter-in-Law, Days of Wine and Roses, and The Soldier’s Fortune. On screen, she’s appeared in movies such as The Waiting Room, The Last Station and Nowhere Boy.

McAvoy, 30, met Duff on the set of the 2003 British series Shameless. They married in 2006.
