Hairspray‘s Ben James-Ellis To Star in Brendan Behan’s The Hostage

Ben James-Ellis will appear in Jagged Fence’s revival of Brendan Behan’s The Hostage, to run February 3 – February 20 at the Southwark Playhouse. Adam Penford will direct the production.

Behan’s play focuses on a Cockney soldier, played by James-Ellis, who is kidnapped by the IRA. The company will also feature Gary Lilbum and Stephanie Fayerman. Morgan Large will provide production design.

James-Ellis was discovered via the BBC’s Any Dream Will Do competition. He made his stage debut as Link Larkin in the West End premiere of Hairspray.
