"Andrew Lloyd Webber's epic new arena tour of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' premiered at the O2 Arena last night (21 September 2012), the first stop in a national tour that runs through to the end of next month. The cast is led by Superstar winner Ben Forster as Jesus, who's joined by Mel C (Mary), Tim Minchin (Judas), Alexander Hanson (Pilate) and former Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Chris Moyles (Herod). First night guests included Jennifer Saunders (who's currently working on her own musical project, Viva Forever), Superstar host Amanda Holden, choreographer Arlene Philips and Superstar judge Dawn French. Praising the cast and crew at the curtain call, Lloyd Webber said he's "waited 42 years" to see 'Jesus Christ Superstar' produced on this scale. "
